If you ever look up words online or have searched for an online dictionary, you will inevitably come across Jim Breen’s
wwwjdic online dictionaries. This is one of the original online dictionaries and has gotten better over the years. Jim Breen’s online dictionaries are an invaluable resource for anyone.

Goo Dictionary – Need to be able to read Hiragana
kantango.com – Japanese–> English
Jisho.org – Need to be able to read Hiragana
nihongodict.com― Simple but good dictionary.
dic.yahoo.co.jp – need to read a bit of japanese. For the most part you can enter your word into the search bar and it should get you to the right dictionary.
tangorin.com― This is a good dictionary. It allows users to add words and may very well be the wikipedia of J<->E dictionaries.
